Opening Day and “Doors Open Denver ” were very successful

April 16 was the first day of our 2011 operating season and, this year, was combined with the Trolley’s participation in “Doors Open Denver”.   Doors Open Denver  is a two-day event celebrating architecture, and design with over 70 sites open to the public.  We provided free rides for all passengers both days, transporting 325 riders on Saturday and 373 on Sunday.  A “straw poll” taken Sunday revealed passengers from not only Colorado but also from Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Texas, Utah, Georgia, California, and Washington State.

Volunteers who made this possible included Lee Ryan, Darrell Arndt, Bruce Vincent, June Roller, Don Hulse, Chuck Mackey, Liz Cohan, Tom Peyton, Don Awalt, Jay Richards, and Arthur Dahlin.

Special thanks to Tom Peyton for the  report and Darrell Arndt for pictures.

A few good looking passengers giving us a thumbs up.
